Charity
At Singer, we believe sewing has the power to change lives. A sewing machine is more than just a tool — it can open the door to learning a new skill, starting a business, or finding a sense of purpose. That’s why we proudly support charities and community projects that use sewing for education, rehabilitation, therapy, or personal development.
Past initiatives have ranged from providing machines for programmes training young mothers in tailoring, helping them to support their families, through to local community groups teaching essential sewing skills to anyone eager to learn. These projects show how sewing can build confidence, independence, and opportunity.
Through the Singer Giving programme, Singer is committed to donating up to 50 machines each year to charities and organisations making a positive impact. Applications are reviewed individually to ensure support goes where it will be most effective.
