About the Extended Guarantee

All Singer sewing machines purchased from Singer Store include a 2-year manufacturer guarantee provided by Singer UK asa minimum. By ordering a machine from Singer Store that has an extended 12 year guarantee, you will automatically extend this coverage for an additional 10 years, giving you a total of 12 years of protection.

This extended guarantee applies only to Singer domestic sewing machines and overlockers purchased directly from Singer Store in the United Kingdom. It covers repairs required due to manufacturing faults or defective parts under the terms outlined below.

Servicing Requirement

To keep this extended guarantee valid, your machine must be serviced by Singer Store every 2 years. Standard service charges apply. We will email you a service reminder once every 12 months.

Failure to have your machine serviced by Singer Store within the required time frame will void the extended guarantee.

Coverage and Limitations

The extended guarantee covers:

• Repair or replacement of parts due to faults in materials or workmanship
• Labour costs for fitting parts (even when replacement parts are not covered)
• Applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable

The extended guarantee does not cover:

• Commercial or professional use of the machine
• Repairs or damage caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow the instruction manual
• Consumable items such as needles, bobbins, bobbin cases, needle plates, belts, bulbs, or threaders
• Normal wear and tear or user-responsible adjustments (e.g., timing adjustments)
• Computerised components or circuit boards (replacement parts are excluded, but labour to fit them is included)
• Any machine that has not been serviced by Singer Store within the last 2 years
• Transportation or carriage costs unless otherwise agreed
• Machines purchased second-hand or outside Singer Store

Exclusions in Detail

This guarantee will be void if:

• Non-Singer parts are used
• The machine is altered or repaired by anyone other than Singer Store
• The machine is operated on an incorrect power supply
• Instructions in the user manual are not followed
• The machine has not been serviced at Singer Store according to the service schedule

How to Make a Claim

If your machine requires service or repair under this guarantee:

1. Keep your original proof of purchase and service history.
2. Ensure your machine is in its original packaging for safe transit.
3. Contact us to arrange service and confirm the correct return location.

Additional Information

This extended guarantee does not affect your statutory rights and applies to domestic purchases only. It cannot be applied to presses or products other than Singer sewing machines and overlockers purchased from Singer Store.
